Seeing Green

Paula called last night to crow about her new camcorder. I knew it wouldn't take her long to want that groovy infrared! It's a Sony HandyCam with with 30GB hard disc drive. The girl can record up to 20 hours of video! Now we can all see in the dark.

Paula's Place Revisited

Last week I got a call from Paula, it seems that the activity at her place has picked up recently. She has been catching a lot of movement in her peripheral vision. Ivan her cat, has been acting a little strange; he wouldn't walk in certain areas of her house. She also caught a few more EVPs. Since we had new equipment we wanted to try out, we all agreed to meet at Paula's and do some more investigating. I wanted to try out my new Sony CyberShot, and Jessie would be filming with her Sony HandyCam with NightShot infrared setting. How cool is that? Again, since alot of the activity is centered around the upstairs bathroom, Paula placed a KII meter on the edge of the bathtub and left a camcorder and digital recorder running. We started our investigation in the living room. The first thing I noticed that the house felt "lighter" than the last time we investigated. I really didn't get a sense that we would be successful in our efforts to record any thing paranormal. W

The Holiday Season

Happy New Year! Here's hoping every one's holidays were full of blessings, in which ever way you chose to celebrate. Santa was good to me this year. I took this shot with my new toy: a 35mm Sony Cybershot with an IR setting. Since we do a lot of our exploring in the dark, I really wanted to be able to capture a clear picture without flash; now I can. Santa brought my friend Paula a KII meter for being such a good girl this year. Our arsenal of ghost hunting equipment keeps getting bigger. I appreciate the fact that, while our families may not truly understand our fascination with the paranormal, they are loving enough to help support our hobby. Since cold and sometimes inclement weather limits us from exploring the Nevada back roads and ghost towns, we will hopefully be looking into investigating indoor hauntings during the first of the year. Indoors during the winter is a good thing. I like being warm. My first choice is to explore the reported paranormal activity of the

The Ghost Posse

Last month when I wrote about our Ghost Walk tour of Bower's Mansion, I gave kudos to the Ghost Posse for their friendly and helpful manner. Afterwards, I sent them an email asking if I could post their link on my blog. I received an answer from Scott Truelove, their lead technical advisor. Scott thanked me for mentioning them in my blog and gave me permission to post their link. The Ghost Posse is a Reno-based paranormal investigation group. Their goal is to prove, or disprove paranormal activity using an array of electronic equipment: EMF detectors, digital recorders (for EVP work), motion sensors, and cameras (digital and infra-red). They are a non-profit group, doing what they do for the love of the paranormal and knowledge gained. So, if anyone out there has a haunting that needs investigating, or a question about ghost hunting, contact The Ghost Posse at: http://www.ghostposse.com
